Creation as Prayer

We view life as a living prayer: an opportunity to communicate with your Higher Power through the way you choose to live. And what is life but an act of creation? In every moment, you are birthing existence through your experience of reality. The things you say, the actions you take (or don’t take), the choices you make—they all impact the circumstances of your life. You are, in essence, creating life as you live it.

At RSC, we do not make a distinction between acts of creation. To us, there is no difference between creating your reality and creating a work of art. They both channel and utilize the same sacred life force energy to bring something into existence. They both require a receptiveness to what wants to come through, and a willingness to surrender to it. Both are acts of co-creation—with Source, Your Higher power, Spirit, God, Creator, The Universe—whatever word you use to identify that part of you that is also so much more than you.

You are the sacred vessel for creation to create through, and you can utilize that relationship to deepen in connection with the source of that creative force. Every time you create, you open yourself to the reciprocal nature of the act. You give and you receive; strengthening the connection; expanding the conversation; delivering your petition in the strokes of your paint brush or the molding of your clay.

This is why art is at the center of every Ceremony we host and is an integral part of many of our events. When we consciously create, we amplify our ability to channel Spirit. We plug back into Source and activate channels for communication that, for many of us, have been silenced for most of our lives. This is important work in a world that’s come to define art in the context of its monetary value. We are reclaiming art for the sake of art; creation for the pure enjoyment of creation.

As far as we’re concerned, everyone is an artist. & it is our mission to guide you back to the sacred power that accompanies that label when it is liberated from the grasp of societal conditioning.
